Errands is a British apparel brand founded in 2024, taking a minimalistic approach to garment design, creating stylish clothes to be worn for everyday Errands.
About the client
The Errands founder approached me to help with a suite of logos and branding that could be used across their garments. Knowing the logos were going to be a prominent part of their designs they wanted designs that were refined and stylish to match their clothes and ethos.
About the project
Although Errands wanted a suite of logos, we knew there had to be a main brand logo that could become recognisable for the brand. The other logos in the suite would then be utilised on garments along with the main brand logo/or not like shown in the examples above.
After our consultation to determine Errands brand, competitors, vision and more, I set about creating the main brand logo. During our discussions the founder told me about the idea behind the name for Errands, which is that everyone has an aim and goal they want to achieve, no matter how big or small. Metaphorically it represents the tasks or steps individuals take to reach their goals, with the idea that once one errand is complete, another begins, reflecting the journey one must take.
With this in mind the idea for the logo was born, with the brand being inspired by minimalism it was key to keep that aesthetic and I was also keen to show the ‘errands’ and step-by-step approach needed to achieve goals. So the idea of connecting letters was utilised to show the journey in a subtle and minimalist manner.
As with any project the logo was tested to make sure that it would work at the various sizes needed for garments whether that be large on the chest or small on a label.
We then moved onto creating the other logos in the suite including the ‘E-star’ logo and the ‘For Everyday’ Errands script logo along with more unreleased logos that can hopefully be shared soon. Why a suite of logos you may ask? A logo suite allows Errands to use the different logos on specific types of garments, also allowing for variations in special editions, collaborations and seasonal releases while staying true to the core brand.
As I’m typing this Errands has a new collection launching soon and it is really exciting to see the brand grow and look forward to collaborating with them more in the future.
